Mason, Jane H. - Miami  
MASON, JANE H., longtime resident of Cutler Ridge, passed away on April 14, 2015. She was born in Manchester, New Hampshire on May 24, 1926 to Roy and Ethel Hunter. Due to her father's job, they moved frequently, living in New York and several cities in Illinois, before moving to Portland, Maine, where she graduated from Deering High School and attended community college. As a member of the Greatest Generation, she proudly worked with the USO in support of the war efforts. After WWII, she met her future husband, Edward B. Mason, Jr. They were married for 51 years until his death in 2002. After raising her children, she worked in Human Resources at J Byrons and Jordan Marsh. Upon her retirement, she enjoyed traveling and visited 46 states. Some of her favorite places were New York City, St. Simons Island, GA, Old Orchard Beach, ME and any place by the sea. Jane is survived by her children, Susan Kinsey (John), Linda Mason, Edward B. Mason, III (Teresa) and Richard L. Mason; grandchildren, Brett and Bryan Kinsey; and sister, Perley M. Noll. She was predeceased by her brother, Roy T. Hunter, Jr. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 12:30 PM at:

McIntosh, Ruth - Miami  
MCINTOSH, RUTH Ruth Marie Switzer McIntosh died in Miami, FL, March 31, 2015. She was born in Swanton, MD, and lived in Naples, FL, before settling in Miami. She received her MA from FAU and her Ph.D. from the University of Miami, and taught at the University and in the Miami-Dade County Public Schools. She retired as a Project Victory teacher in 2010. She was a noted researcher and competitive sailor. She is survived by her godson, Ronald Watson, and his two sons, Jonah, and Ronald Jr. (Gigi). She will be buried in the family plot in Swanton. She did much good, had many friends, and changed lives. She will be missed.
