Grohn Sr., Ronald "Bill W. - Marathon  
Grohn Ronald "Bill" W. Grohn Sr. Born July 6, 1934 God called May 14, 2015, 80 years Served in Korean War 1952-1955 A hero in many ways he joined the army a young boy of 18. He and his buddy walking down a street in Chicago-"Let's join the army." He fought in the Korean war writing home to say "there's people shooting at me that I don't even know." One day lying in his cot a priest walked by at the foot of the bed with the motion of the crucifix. Bill said, "I'm not Catholic." The priest replied, "That doesen't matter. Prayers are non-denominational" Blessing Bill as he goes to the next boy. God covered that prayer. Bill came home a young man with seven medals. Being in the keys for quite some time many might know him as the "Shed Man" who ran Leo's Sheds on Summerland Key. Survived by his wife Patricia of 37 years, Daughter & Son of the Chicago Area. Cynthia Reif, Kathryn (Kelly) Vance, Christine McClellan and Ronald W. Grohn Jr. He leaves 7 grandchildren, Nicole Fredericksen, Ashley Grohn, Mitchell Vance, Hannah Reiff, Mary Kate Vance, Joshua Grohn and Jackson Vance with 1 great grandchild, Divina. Sister, Marilyn Pedigo (Bill), Marie Segovich and many more family members. Preceded in death by his father Walter Klaus, Mother Marie Viola Grohn, a brother, Joseph (Rebecca) Bobel and a sister, Rose Coglianese and husband Dominic. Memorial services with military honors will take place in Batavia Ill. Cremation done by Allen & Shaw of Opa-Locka Fl. Dates and times to be announced. He will be laid to rest at River Hills Memorial Park, 1650 S. River St. Batavia, Illinois. Please make any contribution to the Wounded Warrior Project in his name. He would so much like that. He is missed already. May you rest in peace

Kavanaugh, Elsie Esther - Miami  
KAVANAUGH, ELSIE ESTHER, born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico of Hialeah, FL passed away at the age of 86 on May 19th in the presence of her loved ones. Elsie was married for 27 years to Thomas Laforce Kavanaugh. Her legacy remains through her 5 children, Carlos, Keith, Kevin, Katrina and Kelly, 7 grandchildren Christopher, Jeshua, Justin, Keirsten, Kayla, Jarett and Rachel and 4 great grand children, Nicholas, Kyla, Kendall and Katie. Elsie was a correctional officer for 17 years of her life and touched everyone she met profoundly. Services will be on Sat, May 23 at San Jose funeral home, 4850 Palm Ave, Hialeah, fl 33012 2:00 TO 5:00 PM

Kea, Billie Wilkie - Fort Pierce  
KEA Billie Wilkie Kea, died on May 10 at the age of 62 at her home in Fort Pierce, FL. She was a long time resident of Marathon, until her big move up to Fort Pierce in 2014. She is survived by her daughter Gina Kea and her grandchildren Micheal Gonzalez and Niko Kea, sister Cathy Vandemark, brother Jason Wilke, many nieces and nephews, and many close friends and family. With Billie's love for the sea and wishing this to be her final resting place along side the love of her life, late Glen Kea. There will be a service of celebration of life for Billie on May 31 in Fort Pierce.

KNAP, JOHN E. "Jack"  
KNAP, JOHN E. "Jack", "Sweet Dad", 94, passed away at his home comfortably and surrounded by family on May 21, 2015. He was a true American success story and exemplified what a strong work ethic could accomplish. He was very proud to be a Knight of Malta and was a founding member of the North Miami Elks and Knights of Columbus. Sweet Dad was an avid fisherman who made catching the elusive snook an art form. Above all, he was a dedicated family man who is survived by his wonderful wife of 37 years, Hilda, his three children Peggy Morello, Jackie Briggle and John Knap, Jr., eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandson. His fourth child Laurie pre-deceased him. He made every holiday and family fun day a special occasion and his gregarious smile and enthusiasm will be missed. The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the health workers who compassionately cared for Sweet Dad and made him comfortable in his final days. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at St. Martha's Church, 9221 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami Shores, Fl on June 6, 2015 at 11:00 am.

Minichino, Justin - Key Largo  
MINICHINO Justin Minichino age 52 co-owner of Amoray Dive Resort will be dearly missed by family and friends. We are heartbroken to be having to post that Justin Minichino died Sunday morning, May 17, 2015. He died in his sleep and went peacefully. Thank God he did not suffer. He is survived by his wife Nerenga Minichino, son Justin Minichino, son Anthony Minichino, sister Amy Slate, and mother Teresa Minichino. May your soul rest in peace Tarzan of the sea. You were larger than life and our lives will never be the same without you. It gives us great peace though to know that now your driving your boat in peace in the ocean of heaven. We love you so much. Tarzan of the sea you will not be forgotten you were an amazing father, son, husband, brother, and friend. Whoever would like to join us in sharing memories, and celebrating a man who lived life to the fullest, always had a smile on his face, and a heart as big as the ocean. We are sure you are making everyone in heaven smile while you turn the music up dancing your way through the pearly gates. The schedule of the memorial services are as follows: Friday, May 29th, at Allen-Beyer Funeral Home MM 102 Key Largo Open viewing: 5-8 PM Saturday, May 30th, San Pedro Catholic Church MM 90 Tavernier Open viewing: 10-11 Mass: 11 -12 PM After the Mass the burial will be at Our Lady Of Mercy Cemetery in Miami (Near airport). After the cemetery service we will meet at a restaurant TBA.

Ram, Edith Levenson  
Edith Levenson Ram of Sunny Isles Beach passed away on Thursday night, May 14, 2015 (26 Iyar, 5775). She was 85 years old and was always active and independent. She married Issie Ram in 1983 and endeared herself to his entire family. She is survived by Issie's 3 children, 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. In addition, she has 4 nephews and a niece from her brother, Jack Levine, and sister, Isabelle Gross (both deceased).These are her loving survivors and she will be missed by all who knew her and were close to her. The funeral was graveside at Mt. Sinai on Sunday, May 17, attended by her family and friends. Edie was past president and an active member of Aventura-Turnberry Jewish Center Sisterhood for over 25 years. Donations in her memory can be made to this Sisterhood

Babbitt, Barbara Lee - Houston  
Barbara Lee Babbitt, age 74, passed away on Saturday, the 16th of May 2015, in Houston. Barbara was born and raised in Coral Gables, Florida, until moving to Houston, where she resided for almost forty years. Growing up, Barbara was an avid tennis player and later turned her competitive skills to bridge. In January of 2012, she achieved her gold life master award. Growing up in an aviation family, Barbara continued this tradition in her thirty-one year service with Delta Airlines. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Watson (Slim) and Margaret DeGuenther Babbitt. She is survived by her brother, J. Randolph Babbitt of Reston, VA; and her two nieces, Heather Babbitt Warstler of Reston, VA, and Tiffany Babbitt Shuster of Chicago, IL. Barbara was also supported by her family at Tallowood Baptist Church, where she was a member for over twenty years. The family would like to thank the Muscular Dystrophy Association for the more than thirty years of care and support given to Barbara throughout the course of her illness. The memorial service is to be conducted at three o'clock this afternoon, Tuesday, the 19th of May 2015, at Tallowood Baptist Church, 555 Tallowood Road, in Houston. In lieu of the usual remembrances, memorial contributions may be directed to, The MDA, www.mda.org .

Bulbin, Harriett Freed  
Born, October 16, 1925, and raised in Minneapolis, MN. Daughter of the late Samuel Morris and Rosabel Hoffman Freed, passed away May 18, 2015. Preceded in death by her husband Joseph Bulbin, survived by daughters Laura (Ron) Stein and SaraNette, and other beloved relatives. Known for her stunning appearance and perfectionism, poise and courtesy, and kindness to others. A proud student of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, after marrying she turned her considerable talents and energy to Temple Sisterhood work on a local, regional and national level. She was loved and revered by her Sunday school and Hebrew students for her understanding and patience and encouragement. Harriett loved children, theatre, fashion, and most of all, the company of others. Her Judaism informed her life. Her deepest concern was for peace and understanding among people. We thank the good doctors and nurses who helped care for her, and most especially her devoted caregivers at home. Services will be Thursday, May 21st, 10:00 A.M. at Temple Israel of Greater Miami, 137 NE 19th Street, Miami, FL 33132. Internment to follow at Graceland Memorial Park North, 4420 SW 8th Street, Miami. A Shiva luncheon will follow at Temple Israel.

CASSEL, JOHN MICHAEL  
CASSEL, JOHN MICHAEL, 67, passed away on Saturday, May 16th, 2015 at his home in Miami, Florida. He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his son, Brandon, and daughter, Adrienne. John was born in Miami to Alvin and Ethel Cassel. He attended the University of Miami School of Medicine, graduating in 1978, and completed his residency in plastic surgery at the university in 1981. John underwent a full year residency at the prestigious Davies Medical Center in San Francisco in reconstructive microsurgery before starting his acclaimed private practice in South Miami. John was a brilliant surgeon who always showed the utmost care and respect for his patients and treated everyone with a beautiful, genuine kindness. He was a wonderful father to his two children and a great friend to those around him. His wisdom, tenderness, and unique sense of humor will be missed tremendously by his family, friends, and everyone touched by his warmth. The family is eternally grateful for the outpouring of love and support. A private funeral service will be held for close friends and family.
