George, I met you in 1961 when I first came to California. You came to visit me one night and stayed for 10 years.. I look at all the pictures of you and I and can see all those terrific times all over again.. On my telephone message I have the beautiful song you sang to me a week before you left us..I;ll always remember the great times we had together.. See you old buddy. Sweet Janette,
Thank you for sharing George with us. It was fun motorcycling with him and playing and singing with him in the church band at Calusa Community Church.
We are so thankful he trusted Christ as his personal Savior and that we'll play with him in heaven some day soon. I don't know if you knew that my legal name is Lillian Leigh Hopkins Darlington, and George and I always wondered if we were related. Ben and I are praying for you and your family. Let us know if we can help in any way.

To the Family of George Hopkins,
I remember your husband & father from long ago (circa 1951) when my friends & I enjoyed vaudeville at the Olympia Theater (now Gusman). We had a great crush on
George & started the George Hopkins Fan Club. I remember being so excited to get his autograph (I was
12 or 13) and how nice he was with us & took the time
to talk to us. He was very funny and also a very kind
man. I was happy to read that he married and had a
family. May God bless and comfort you at this difficult
time.

May you know that my Prayers for you were the same as yours and I am so grateful that you are no longer in pain and that you left from your home as you prayed for. Play painlessly in The Light. You were loved deeply by your family and friends who miss you deeply.

Everything you predicted to me always came true exactly the way you predicted..down to the day you left to rest with the angels. I laugh when I think of our last conversation that we had while you were in the VA hospital!!! You said they would commit BOTH of us if you told them you were talking to your daughter! You were, as am I a nut!!!! A funny nut!!!! I am so glad I got to see you to say goodbye, and will be sending my warmest hugs & kisses to you and all attending your final ceremony..although I will not be in attendance in the physical universe, our spirits will always connect. You helped me through my deepest and darkest hours in my life, and I will sing and dance with you in heaven one day. I love you my sweet funny Dad.
