It was a sad day when we heard of Bobby's passing. He was a great guy & a wonderful contributor to the world of Saxophone through his music & mouthpieces.
Our deepest sympathy is extended to Jeanne, Deedra & all his family & friends.
He will be fondly remembered.

Jean and Deedra and family:
Your husband and father was a special friend to me when I was a younger man. I will miss his humor and mentoring. He set me on the road to be a talented recording engineer.

I met Bobby only a few times and we were only acquaintances, but I have admired and respected Bobby for many years as an excellent musician, sound engineer, mouthpiece maker (inventor), and gentleman. It was an honor to have him engineer a "demo" for a group I played in some years ago. His passing is a loss to the music world. May God bless him and comfort his family.

I didn't know Bobby personally but my first big time tenor mouthpiece was a Dukoff D series and I still have a D5 I use on alto for rock. When I dropped the tenor piece, he very graciously repaired it (or maybe replaced it) in a hurry.
I have tremendous respect for Bobby's extraordinary skills.
The family is in my prayers.

Farewell Bobby - thank you for your support and friendship over the years. The knowledge I gained from you will be passed on to my students, and again by them for generations to come. Your work had a profound affect on the history of the saxophone and it's role in jazz and popular music. I will always remember your generosity and big smile, and that great tenor saxophone and mouthpiece you were kind enough to part with will be with me forever! Linda and I express our sincere condolences to your family and friends and want everyone to know that you will always be remembered.
