Well, I'm sure you all look back on him fondly. It's been three years now, but I followed a trail of research, that started with a man named Alvin Eicoff, who led me to the story of Lee Ratner, that led me to Mr. Gerry Gould. It's a saga. I read passages from Jacob Gould's book. There's a movie script in the lives of these industrious Jewish American men, who made fortunes in all types of businesses. Hope you all keep the stories alive.

To Mr. Gerry Gould, who I never met in person, but who helped me by providing me comments when I wrote stories tracing back the history of Lehigh Acres for the Lehigh News Star. Thanks for giving me that time, listening to me and answering my questions and also for your sense of humor and sense of adventure. My condolences to his family.

I had the pleasure to call Gerry a friend. We purchased property from him where together with his help, we built affordable Senior housing in Lehigh Acres. May God bless you Gerry. Rest in Peace.
