Edward Ellis Levinson

LEVINSON, EDWARD ELLIS, passed away peacefully at his home in Bay Harbor, Florida on Saturday, May 3, 2014. He is survived by his wife of over 52 years Tobie, his children Neil, Amy, Marc, Laurie, Kenneth and Lourdes and his sister Vicki Land and brother in law Dr. Allan Land. Edward also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren; Daniel, Robert, Casey, Hannah Fay, and Logan. Edward was born in Miami on September 18, 1937. He graduated high school from Miami High and earned both his under-graduate and law degree from the University of Miami. Edward practiced law with distinction in South Florida for over 52 years. He was a founding partner of the firm Myers, Kenin, Porter, Kaplan, and Levinson. He was universally respected and admired as a man of great integrity, ethics, and compassion for everyone he met. Edward was a deeply devoted husband, father and grandfather who dedicated his entire adult life to his beloved family. A memorial service celebrating and honoring Edward's life will be held at Temple Beth Sholom located at 4144 Chase Avenue, Miami Beach, Florida on Thursday, May 8 at 12:30 pm. Following the memorial service, the family will be receiving friends and relatives at Edward's son's home in Weston. Donations in Edward's honor can be made to Family Central, Inc.
