GROCHOLSKI, WLODZIMIERZ The family of Wlodzimierz Ludwik Maria Grocholski mourns the passing of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. Wlodzimierz Ludwik Maria Grocholski died peacefully at home in Miami, Florida. Loved by many, he is survived by his wife, Magdalena, his children Barbara, Adam, Anna, Jas and Gabriel, and his grandchildren Izabella, Maximillian, Sophia, Gabriella and Niko. Born on December 10, 1936 in Puchaly, Poland, to Adam Remigiusz Grocholski and Barbara Swiatopelk-Czetwertynska, he was the eighth of ten brothers and sisters. He was a true Renaissance Man. As the Executive Director of the American Institute of Polish Culture in Miami he worked to promote Polish culture and heritage. In the mid-90s he patented a dehydration system, a technology for drying fruits naturally. A man of deep faith and strong convictions, he was unrelenting in defending his values. With extraordinary charm and unbeatable wit and intellect, his home was always open to all. He loved wildlife, rescued and domesticated a variety of animals. He was absolutely unique in every way. Wlodzimierz courageously struggled against brain cancer for six months.
