ELVIS WARDELL PASCHAL

PASCHAL, ELVIS WARDELL, Transitioned November 7, 2016. He was a dedicated teacher of MDCPS for 34 years. He instilled his love for music in each student that he touched. Demanding greatness earned his Miami Edison Marching Red Raiders superior ratings and an invitation to the 1985 King Orange Bowl Parade; the first Black band ever invited. This dedication would earn him the 1986 "Francisco R. Walker Memorial Teacher of the Year Award" for the North Central Area. When he was not teaching, he enjoyed playing beside some of the finest musicians, to include the renowned Peter Graves Orchestra, The Ginger Man Jazz Band, The Melton Mustafa Orchestra and Bobby Rodrigues. He was also a loving family man, leaving his wife of 42 years, Diane Paschal, to mourn with daughters Erica P. Darling (Renard) and Heather P. Binns (Basil), brother Fletcher A. Paschal III, sister Agenoria P. Powell and a hosts of relatives and friends that adore him. Funeral will be Monday, November 14, 2016 at 10 am at the Church of the Incarnation 1835 NW 54th Street in Miami.
