JUNKIN, Ann Lassiter, 87, of Coral Gables passed away on July 16, 2013 from heart failure. Ann was born in Savannah, Georgia on July 14, 1926. She graduated from Miami Edison High School with top honors and was a member of the prestigious Cadettes. Ann was married to James W. Junkin, Jr. in 1956. Ann was in the Coast Guard Reserves and worked for Lon Worth Crow for 35 years. She was actively involved with her husband in Kiwanis and volunteered for many charitable organizations. Ann is preceded in death by her parents William Orrin Lassiter, Sr. and Elizabeth Grace Gould, sister, Carolyn Lassiter Perkins and aunt Margaret Gould Parrack. She is survived by her husband and best friend, James W. Junkin, Jr., her sister Janis Lassiter, her brother Bill Lassiter and his wife Betty and many nieces and nephews. A memorial will take place at 11am on Thursday, July 25 at Stanfill Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Park Cemetery, 3260 SW 8 Street, Miami.
