ORIHUELA, BLANCHE, 97, died peacefully in her sleep on June 28, 2012. She was born to Consuela Rey and Benjamin Campillo on March 21, 1915 in Tampa and was the last remaining grandchild of Peregrino Rey, an early cigar manufacturer (Cuesta- Rey Cigars) and Mayor of Tampa. She met and married the love of her life, Armando Orihuela, who predeceased her in 1984. She moved to Miami in 1942 when her husband received employment with Pan American World Airways at the Dinner Key Clipper Base. Blanche was a very spicy and independent resident of West Miami for more than 60 years until a fall in October 2011. She is survived by her only child, Frances Cosgrove (George), 3 grandchildren (whom she spoiled, traveled with and doted on), Stephanie Cosgrove, Jennifer Cosgrove Begrowicz (Frank) and Scott Cosgrove (Jennifer), several great grandchildren including Taylor and Billy Fay, Jackson and Luke Begrowicz and Dylan, Ava and Chase Cosgrove, and nephews, Monte and James Alfonso and Thomas Hughes III of Tampa. She will be missed by all. Visitation will be at Stanfill Funeral Home on Monday, July 2 from 6-8PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Teresa's Church of the Little Flower, 2711 Indian Mound Trail, Coral Gables at 10 AM Tuesday, July 3 with burial to follow at Woodlawn Park South Cemetery.
