CHOBOL, CARLOTA, passed on to a better place with her beloved husband Sandy, on September 1, 2012 after a short illness. Carlota was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Powell during WWII, her second husband Sanford (Sandy) Chobol on September 1, 1977, her son Robert (bobby) Powell Jr., her brother Edgar Calles, her sister Evelina Calles Merrill, and her nephew J. Charles Merrill. She is survived by her nieces, Jacqueline Patricia Merrill, Kelly Merrill Gorham,and Dona Calles as well as her great nieces Laura Merrill Sisto, Rachel Merrill Weddell and Katy Merrill Andre. She will also be missed by her good friends and caretakers Hugo Munoz andAdina Stratila as well as many others on the island of Key Biscayne.
