LaMORTO, CARMELO, 93, passed away 6/26/12. Born and raised in New York, he served 4 ½ years in the US Army during WWII as a surgical technician, followed by a career in the US Postal Service. Mel was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather and is survived by his wife, Francesca; daughter, Angelica LaMorto-Corse (Stephen); and grandchildren, Bryan and Lauren Corse.
