HOGUET Christine Paula Hoguet, age 54, of Tavernier, FL, passed away peacefully at her home, on September 26, 2014. A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the Bay Harbor HOA Marina, the intersection of North and South Bay Harbor Drives in Key Largo, FL. Her ashes are going to be spread in the ocean. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Veterans Organizations or Local Animal Shelters, as she was a veteran herself and an animal lover. Christine was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on January 12, 1960 to Harold Alan Salser and Bobbie Jean Crowell. She served in U.S. Navy, graduated Summa Cum Laude and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She was a member of the Sigma Theta Tau, an International Honor Society of Nursing, and served as a U.S. Navy Nurse (LTJG) from 1993-1996. She married Christopher Hoguet in Topsail Beach, NC, on June 21, 1997. Christine is predeceased by her parents, Harold and Bobbie Jean; her dogs: Sakae, Mister, Mac, and Houdini; and her cats: Noel, Tommy, Bert, and Zeus. She is survived by her husband, Christopher Hoguet, Lieutenant Colonel U.S. Army Special Forces (Ret), of Tavernier, FL; her brother Dr. Robin Salser of Hesperia, Ca; and her beloved dogs Sophia, Hope, and Stardancer.

I still miss Christina´s beautiful smile and her cheerful good nature. She passed way to early, because our world needs her love and kindness to all, people and animals. I truly miss you my friend.

Christine was a blessing to all who knew her. She would invite me in and chat without hesitation. Her love for children and animals was always present in all the thoughtful things that she did. Christine will truly be missed.
