LEE, DOROTHY IRENE 73, of Key Largo, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, July 8th, 2014 with her family by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Dorrene was born on May 21, 1941 in Miami, Florida. Her parents are the late Alice and George Stacey. Growing up in Miami, Dorrene made enduring friendships that have lasted a lifetime. In 1957 she married the love of her life, Larry Owen Lee. They made their home in Miami until 1993, when they moved to Key Largo. Dorrene was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend and is survived by her husband Larry of 56 years, her daughter Lisa Judy Smith of Miami, her grandchildren, Marshall Lee, Wade Judy, Breanna Gilliland, and John Lee, her sister Cynthia Stacey of North Carolina, nieces Babette Dunmire, Laura Pedersen, Lauren Loiacano, nephew Sean Loiacano and cousins. She will be remembered for her gentle nature and deep love of family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alice and George Stacey and her son Larry Louis Lee. Visitation Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 10 AM Followed by Funeral Service at 11 AM at: Kendall United Methodist Church 7600 SW 104th Street Miami, FL 33156. Burial to follow at Miami Memorial Park.
