The purpose of life is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived. This was Elmo. Bill and I were fortunate to have had the chance to call Elmo friend. We watched him evolve from silkscreening blouses from a Miami Beach storefront to becoming the masterful artist that he was. He was able to capture the essence of of the soul's of the people he painted. All his art was genius. How priviliged Bill and I are to be able to have in our home the beautiful portrait of myself that you painted as our wedding gift. A precious gift to remind us of a long and special friendship. Thanks Elmo.

It truly was a blessing knowing Elmo. I spent many a day as a child with him because Ricky his son and I were best of friends back then. I remember him playing the guitar in the mornings and how beautiful it sounded. I remember him lifting those weights in the back room. I remember him painting and him spending time helping us to paint too. I remember the gallery that I played around in. I remember him taking us out to the ‘Glades to snake hunt and fish. I remember a gentle giant that cared about us. Thank you for your heart Elmo and my prayers for the family.

The Master walked amidst the masses.
He shined his Light, for all to see.
Yet, his brilliance went unnoticed
amongst eyes of mediocrity.

Gideon was a simple and quiet man, with sage wisdom. A humble man, with greatness of Being. A gentle man, with a powerful Spirit. A giving man, with goodness of heart. His inner Light shined through his intense eyes.

His creative soul overflowed with inspiration to share. He was a visionary, with dreams to unfold. A realist, with Truths to speak. A wise teacher, guiding others toward their own spirituality, God-given gifts, and life-purpose. He was a humanitarian, helping to elevate society, as a whole, into its higher consciousness and divine destiny.

Gideon was a Master of the Fine Arts – whose paintings and sculptures are reflective of the sensitivity, dignity and intensity, the power, passion and purpose of their creator. He worked with boundless energy, unceasing perseverance, and uncompromising artistic integrity. He was versatile and prolific, beyond compare. There never, again, may be such a rare treasury of Fine Art created by one man.

In his studio-gallery, surrounded by his timeless masterpieces, one was transported someplace enchanting, mystifying, awe-inspiring, and otherworldly. Undeniably, his creative genius and artistic mastery paralleled the Masters of old – Di Vinci...

Gideon was a contemporary of our time; yet, like most visionaries, he was ahead of the times. Those who embraced him, and his masterworks, reaped the fruits of their presence. We honor his memory by bestowing upon the man and his creations, all the worthiness they deserve.

Gideon’s life in the arts was “...An Ascending Journey.” Now, the Master has ascended. But, his Spirit lives on in the treasure-trove of preserved artworks he leaves, as a priceless legacy to the world. His eternal soul-Light shines on, as one of the brightest stars in The Sky. The deep impressions he left upon those who knew him will endure in our hearats.

To Gideon’s family, I send deepest condolences.
To Gideon .. my faithful and true friend, encouraging artistic mentor, and, kindred-Spirit .. you were a blessed and cherished gift to my life. Until we meet again, I shall miss you, greatly.
To Heather, Gideon’s beloved wife, I love you and “The Master” forever-and-ever.
