I was fortunate enough to have Harvey as my attending physician at JMH on two separate occasions. Harvey taught both the science and the art of medicine. His clinical acumen and humanitarian approach left an everlasting impression on all of the young physicians he taught. I will forever be grateful for the lessons I learned from this wonderful teacher. My heartfelt sympathy to Margaret and the family.

As an intern starting my training in 1989 at JMH, I still remember meeting Dr. Brown in clinic. He always had a kind and comforting word for the many patients waiting to see him. And always eager and willing to teach students and house staff. He showed me what being a doctor is all about.
