Here is a name from the past Claude C Hamilton. My depest condolances to the family

As a child, he was Uncle Buddy to me. I have pictures of him as a little boy that his brother saved with a caption Bud, and I probably didn't know he was Henry, jr until he was in the Army. He hated nicknames, I learned later. He was such a handsome boy and he probably didn't like little brats like me hanging on him.
My sincerest condolences.

I have to agree with everyone. I appeared in front of Judge Oppenborn many times. As a young man I found him to be everything a man should be: honorable, a gentleman, and a patriot.

June 15, 2010

My condolences to the Oppenborn family. As a young lawyer I appeared before him and to this date I remember him for teaching me how to be a judge and more importantly how to be a good person. Teddy Roosevelt said that "What a man foes for himself dies with him, but what he does for his community lives longer after he is gone." He could have been speaking about Judge Henry Oppenborn. When I was a young Assistant State Attorney Judge Oppenborn took me into his office to show me one of his prized possessions--a picture of my Uncle and the Judge as young men in WW2. They were both Parrot Troopers. Henry was a wonderful Judge and an outstanding person. We were all blessed to have known him (and to have worked with him). My family sends to yours our sympathies and love.

Judge Henry Oppenborn was a true gentleman. As a young prosecutor assigned to his division, I had the pleasure of seeing a distinguished jurist work. He was fair and always treated everyone who appeared before him with respect and dignity. My sincerest condolences to his family. I just want them to know that Judge Oppenborn was admired and respected and I am a better lawyer and a better man for having known him.
