Irma Vega Anzardo Gras of Hialeah passed away on September 20 at the age of 89. She was born April 17, 1923 in Cuba. Irma was the daughter of Eloy and Celina Perez and sister of Armand Perez. As a young girl In Cuba she attended a private technical girls school to study culinary art. In the 1940's Irma married Roberto Anzardo and the couple had two sons Roberto and Rolando. In 1962 she immigrated to the United States with her son Rolando. Irma remarried in the 1960's in Miami and she and her husband Oscar Gras started a new life and business in Hialeah, Oscar's Wedding, The couple had a son Oscar born in 1965. As well as being a successful business woman for many years, Irma will always be remembered as being a caring mother and grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, wife and friend to many. Her attitude was always positive and she would lend a helping hand to anyone who was in need. One of her many passions was the ocean and would spend many weekends at the beach with family and friends. Irma is survived by sons Rolando and wife Lisa Anzardo, Oscar and wife Mayra Gras, daughter in law Consuelo Anzardo as well as brothers Armand Perez and Henry, step-children Liesel and Miguel Angel Gras. Irma was the beloved mother to Roberto Anzardo (deceased), A proud grandmother of Lissette Anzardo Reyes ,Tara Anzardo Brelinsky, Sara Anzardo Gomez, Michele Anzardo Sutherland and Celina Anzardo, Melodie Gras and Katelyn Gras. Irma was also blessed with 12 great grandchildren whom she loved dearly. A memorial service will be held Sunday October 7, 2012 , 2-4pm at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn Funeral Home 373-377 West 9th Street, Hialeah, Florida 33010 In lieu of flowers donations to Vitas Hospice Care are appreciated.
