GWIN, JAMES B. III "Jim" Age 91 of Miami, passed away quietly August 19, 2013 from congestive heart and renal failure. Jim was born June 1, 1922 in Manchester, Georgia along with his paternal twin George who preceded him in death on August 19, 1998. Jim was a WWII veteran having served in the Navy in the Pacific campaign. After the war Jim ended up in Miami where he attended and obtained a Masters Degree in education. He then went to work for the Dade County School Board as a Junior High School Principal and retired after 42 years of service. Jim and his wife were life long members of Central Presbyterian Church of Kendall before he became to sick too attend. Jim was also a life long member of the Southwest Kiwanis Club where he had many wonderful friends.Jim is survived by his wife of 66 years Ada. His son James B. IV and his daughter Robin M. Rodriguez both of Miami. He is also survived by two grandchildren, two great grandchildren and two siblings. There will be a memorial service on Saturday August 20 10:00 am at Central Presbyterian Church located at 12455 SW 104th. Street. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the church, which would have meant a lot to Jim.
