JOCELYN BAITINGER Obituary

BAITINGER, JOCELYN GEORGE, a long-time resident of Coral Gables, Florida, died peacefully on Mother's Day, May 8, 2011. "Jocie", as she was known to her friends, graduated from New Trier High School in Winnetka, Illinois, later graduated from Monticello College in Alton, Illinois where she was captain and star of the ladies basketball team. After Monticello, Jocie attended the University of Miami where she met her husband, Herbert. Jocie held memberships at the Country Club of Coral Gables (CCCG), Riviera Country Club (RCC) and Coral Reef Yacht Club. As an avid tennis player, she played on the ladies tennis teams at both CCCG and RCC. Jocie will be remembered by the many fun times she had with her friends and family at yachting functions, raft ups, tennis matches and the many parties they hosted at their home. Jocie is survived by her son, David and his wife Bren, and David's three children, Jocie's cherished grandchildren: Gail (24), Brooke (18) and Scott (14). (husband Herb deceased: 1999) (daughter Gail deceased: 1982) (grandson Michael deceased: 1982) There will be a Celebration of Life Service at Plymouth Congregational Church in Coconut Grove at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 20th, 2011.
