JULIA GOODMAN

GOODMAN, JULIA, born April 22, 1915 in New York City, resided in Miami Beach since 1946, passed away May 15, 2011. Julia worked in real estate for twenty years until illness forced her to retire at the age of 87. Although she never drove a car, she rarely missed a day of work or voting on Election Day. She had strong opinions on most every subject, read the newspaper daily and watched Larry King nightly. An avid homemaker, she insisted on doing her own cooking, baking, sewing, cleaning and could fix most anything around the house. Three words defined her life: family, friends and food. She was passionate about all three of them. Julia is pre-deceased by Sam, her husband of 48 years; her parents Isidore and Helen; sister, Florence and brother-in-law, Matty Blank. Julia is survived by her daughter, Francine (Norman) Freedman; son, Bob (Diane) Goodman, grandchildren: Mark Freedman, Howard Freedman, Robin (Howie) Chodor, Lisa Goodman, Randy (Debbie) Goodman; great-grandchildren: Kelly Freedman, August and Lulu Chodor also special friends Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Sklar and Doris Weiss.
