Dear Family Members and Friends,
I was sent the following words of comfort and felt that Kathy would want me to share them with all of you:
Death is nothing at all. It does not count. I have only slipped away into the next room. Everything remains as it was. The old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by the old familiar name. Speak of me in the easy way which you always used. Put no sorrow in your tone. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without effort. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was. There is unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well. Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before. How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again.

I only spoke with Kathy over the phone as the assistant to one of our trustees. She was always very pleasant and kind. She will be missed.

My dear sweet sister Kathy, I know I don't need to tell you how much I love you since we did lots of that over the years and especially over the last 2 months. I am so grateful that we had our special time together before God swept you up. I hope you will forgive me for all the times I pushed you to eat, drink or walk when you really didnt want to. You fought a courageous battle and we all are so proud of you. In the end you suffered more than you had to so your passing would be easier on us. That is just the special soul that you are. Always worrying about others before yourself. Thank you so much for giving us all our special goodbyes. My heart is so broken and will never mend back to life with you but I am comforted in knowing that you are floating peacefully in the heavens above and watching over all of us. Please remember to reach down and help the rest of us in that heavenly direction when our times come. I know you will....Rest in Peace my sweet beautiful sister Angel. my dear friend i will never forget you and your beautiful smile, especially in coral park gymnastics where she help not tumble to badly as to not emarrass myself..her unselfish attitude was with her as long as i knew her. i know that she must really have been needed to help with her kindness and generosity up there...rip kathy love kathy gonshak mcnamara

I am very saddened and sorry to hear of Kathleen's passing. I know that the thoughts of many are with your family at this difficult time - I see many familiar names from Ryder System expressing their condolences here. I first met Kathy when she was a receptionist in HR in 1984; she soon rose straight to the top of the company, because of her sparkling personality, I'm certain. She always had a smile for everyone. May God bless and comfort the Yoham and Forti families, and all her friends. Keep the happy memories of Kathy close to your heart, and she will live on.

Dear Yoham and Forti Family members and especially Krista, Justin and Karina,
Kathy was the best friend anyone could have the privilege of knowing. We shared many years together and we loved one another dearly. What a blessing each and every one of you were to her. She was so blessed to have such a loving family lifting her up through the difficult times. I will miss her terribly but know we will spend eternity together. I believe she has heard the words we all hope to hear, "Well done good and faithful servant."
I pray that the Lord's strength and beautiful memories with sustain you all through this difficult time.
We do not grieve as those who have no hope.

I will always remember you as one of the sweetest friends I have ever known from high school. I was always glad to see you at our reunions and will miss you. May you rest in peace. I am writing with my deepest and most sincere condolences to all the bereaved relatives of our sweet and loving Kathy. To Mom and Dad Yoham, Krista, Justin, Karina, Debbie (and family), Johnny (and family), Tom (my very dear friend), Anthony (and family), Gary, and Eileen: You are such a close and loving family. I am glad to know that you are all together, as you comfort one another and recall the memories of this very special woman with whom you have each been fortunate enough to be related. I will remember Kathy for that beautiful smile she constantly beamed as she moved gracefully through life, even (I wasn't there, but I can imagine) when she wasn't feeling her best. I am also inspired by the courageous way she dealt with any adversity and her spiritually-wise way of looking at life. I was very fortunate to have Kathy as my friend. She was a friend you could count on, she always there for you in good and bad times. We shared many laughs which I will always remember. Kathy was a very dear friend. There are no words that express the kind of person Kathy was...she was thoughtful, always putting others first, loving, unselfish, caring, never having a negative thought. I too will miss our dinners at PF Changs and Sea Siam (Bev, Kathy and me). I was truly blessed to have had her as my friend and I will cherish the memories forever.
