SKALETSKY, Kathryn Hebert, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2012, after a long battle with cancer, in comfort at the age of 63. Kathryn was born in Chicago, IL and moved with her family to South Florida as a young girl. After attending St. Leo College where she graduated "women of the year" her career with Eastern Airlines took her to New York City. While walking a dog she met the love of her life Ira Skaletsky. The couple decided to move back to South Florida to raise their children. Shortly after arriving back she began a career at Redland Elementary School as the Librarian. Kathryn loved her work, often saying "if you can read you can do anything" she continued to work up until she was forced to retire due to her illness. Kathryn is survived by her mother Jean Hebert, her two sons Chris and Steven, daughter in law Samantha, and granddaughter Alexandra, and her five siblings, Jim, Frank, Jeff, Elizabeth and Paul. Kathryn was preceded by her husband Ira and father Ralph Hebert. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday , December 8, 2012 at QUATTLEBAUM FUNERAL HOME, 1201 South Olive Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33401.
