POOLE, LEONARD (JAMEY) J III., passed away November 2, 2013. Born May 27, 1965 in Miami, FL, Jamey graduated from Miami Killian Senior High in 1983 and obtained his A.A. degree from Miami Dade College. In 1986 he joined the City of Miami Fire Department as a firefighter and had a 24-year career that included time as a paramedic/ EMT and rescue diver. Jamey also owned many successful businesses that included, J.S. Maintenance, and Fireman Jamey Pressure Cleaning. Jamey, known as Lenny by many of his firefighter colleagues, lived by his own rules and had many lifetimes of memories and experiences in his too short 48 years. He was a true original, full of life and always up for an adventure. He never hesitated to help a friend or stranger, and always reached out to those in need. Jamey was the life of the party and always ready to share a laugh with whomever he encountered. He was an accomplished snow skier who especially loved spending time in Aspen, CO. An avid power boater, Jamey mostly loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He traveled extensively across the country claiming that no trip was too far when he was on his Harley. He loved, and was loved, by so many people. He will be greatly missed by his family and large circle of friends that he touched deeply. Jamey is survived by his father and mother, Leonard Jr. and Sandra, brother Jeff (Tira), many nieces, his beloved and loyal companion, Panda, and his ex-wife Michelle. A casual celebration of his life will be held Friday, November 8th at Kings Creek Village Tavern, 8100 SW 81 Drive, Miami, beginning at 4pm. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to your favorite animal rescue charity.
