SOLA Phyllis B. Sola, 91, of Key Colony Beach, Fla., formerly of Chicago, died peacefully at home October 15, 2013. Born August 27, 1922 on Chicago's West Side, Phyllis was especially precocious and cultivated her character and knowledge with tenacity and grace until her passing. She was married to her beloved, Melvin (Melvy) V. Sola, for 67 years, suffering a terrible loss when he passed away January 16, 2011. She is survived by her three children and their spouses: Jane Kristak and Todd Williams, Jill Sola and Eric Johnson, and Robert Sola and Dr. Ann (Baxter) Sola. She also leaves five grandchildren: Simon Kristak, Sara Johnson, Jasmine Sola, Ruben Sola and Sean Williams; a loving sister, Sandra Oser (Howard), of Orlando, Fla.; as well as many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was predeceased by her sister Natalie Golden (Brown), also of Chicago. She was a light in our lives and will be greatly missed by all she touched. Private memorial services are being observed by the family.
