DENNIS, RUTH B., born in Brooklyn, NY, September 21, 1919, deceased June 26, 2012. Ruth became a resident of Hialeah, FL in 1947. She became of a member of the Hialeah Chapter #153 of Order of the Eastern Star in 1953 where she held the office of Worthy Matron in 1978, Treasurer for many years and was past district Grand Instructor. In 2012, she joined OES Chapter #71 Ad Astra. She was a member of 1st United Methodist Church of Hialeah and she attended Miami Lakes United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin F. Dennis III, and her daughter, Ruthann Martin. She was beloved mother to Donna Sandifer (John R. Sandifer III); grandmother to Richard Walker (Melanie), Wayne L. Martin, Donna D. Martin, John R. Sandifer IV, and Linda R. Ashbaugh; 6 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandsons. The ever loving matriarch was always there with a helping hand or some advice for her family and her numerous friends; her love will be everlasting. Viewing and services will be at Miami Lakes United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 11:00am; burial in the family plot at Vista Memorial Gardens immediately following.
