GAMBINO, SALVATORE "SONNY", passed away from congestive heart failure on June 25, 2012. Pre- deceased by his loving partner Shirley Talamini. Survived by ex- wife Nancy Sylvester, daughters Laura (Richard) and Lynn (Daine), son Michael (Penny), and grandchildren Hayden, Julie and Jenni. Born August 15, 1926 in New York City, Sonny was blessed with a special and unique gift, a singing voice that rivaled the top entertainers in his day. It was such a pleasure to watch audiences when Sonny was asked to sing. The room would instantly grow quiet, and all eyes would turn toward that golden voice. Our family will always remember the rousing applause Sonny received whenever he sang, and how happy he made people with his voice.
