GREENBERG, SHIRLEY, AGE: 89. Shirley Greenberg passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2012. Shirley was born in New York City and moved to Boca Raton in 1987. Beloved wife of the late Hank Greenberg; loving mother of Susan Schiffrin (Michael) and Jody Elliot (Stuart); cherished grandmother of Josh Schiffrin (Jacklyn), Jessica Schiffrin, Nicole Elliot and Jennifer Shakerdge (Orin); and adored great grandmother of Brooklyn and Ryder Schiffrin, Lindsay Sanchez, and Jacob, Hannah, Jeremy and Ari Shakerdge; at 89 years old, Shirley was a true matriarch. She loved nothing more than to spend time with her family, cooking, teaching and sharing her wonderful recipes. Everyone who had the opportunity to meet and spend time with Shirley instantly felt like they had known her for ages. She was uniquely warm and loving and had a special ability to make people feel as though they were a part of her family. Shirley touched the lives of all who knew her and will be deeply missed.
