MAER, WILLIAM ROGERS, passed away January 26, 2013. William Maer, of Maer Automotive Service, Inc. was born in Miami, Florida on January 7, 1955. As a young man, Bill, as he was better known by those closest to him, was a lover of automobiles and motorcycles. In the mid 1970's his passion became his livelihood when he and his wife, Sherry, founded their automotive repair company, Maer Automotive Service, Inc. In his downtime, Bill was an active member of the community donating his time to several organizations such as the Optimist Club of West Kendall, the Gold Coast Railroad Museum, the Rotary Club of Zoo Miami, and the Elks Club while also supporting local scouting and PTA groups. Bill truly loved his city and his family. When he wasn't busy visiting with his grandchildren he took advantage of his tropical surroundings by fishing and taking leisurely drives through the city. Bill was a respected member of our community for many years and will always be known and loved by many. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sherry, his four children Stacia Vreones (Paul), Tiffany Martinez (Luis), Heidi Deluque (Orlando), and Victoria Guzman (Alex), and fifteen grandchildren: Vanessa Ferrer (George), Michael Vreones, John Vreones, Sarah Vreones, Francesca Martinez, Joseph Martinez, Dominic Deluque, Elizabeth Deluque, Katherine Deluque, Nicole Deluque, Simone Deluque, Noah Guzman, Jacob Guzman, Elijah Guzman, and Sophia Guzman. He is also survived by his siblings Joseph Maer (Elisa), Miriam Maer Taylor (Lee), and David Maer, and nieces and nephews: Jennifer Maer, Ravenna Maer, Arsen Bragas, Ariel Nabas, Megan Taylor, Courtney Alexis Taylor, and Daniel Taylor. Services for William Maer will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South Funeral Home located at 11655 Southwest 117th Avenue, Miami, Florida 33186. The viewing will be held from 12:00PM to 2:00PM followed by the burial at 2:30PM.
