ALBERTS, SHIRLEY SYMONS, was born in Worcester, MA on November 24, 1923 and passed away in Miami, FL on May 19, 2011. She is survived by her daughter Maureen Levine Testa and husband Donnie, son Paul Alberts, granddaughter Audree Barrow, great-granddaughters Jennifer Webb, Hannah Webb, and Stefani Barrow, life long friend David Vaughn, brothers Frank Symons and wife Elina, and Ronald Symons and wife Barbara. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, George I. Alberts. Shirley brought her sparkling personality as a hostess to the old famed Studio Restaurant in Coral Gables in the 60s. Shirley was a patron to young local artists who later went on to be highly recognized for their work. She inspired her friends and family wither bountiful love and kindness. Shirley fought her illness like a true warrior to the end and will live on forever in the hearts of those who were privileged enough to have known her. Services to be held Sunday, May 22nd, at 11:00 A.M. at. Mt. Nebo Chapel, 5900 SW 77 Avenue, Miami, Florida.
