DAYAN, RUBIN MEYER, 96 years old and our beloved Uncle died peacefully in his home on December 13th, 2013. He is now with his loving wife, Beatrice Wasser Dayan. Rubin was a devoted husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to those closest to him. If words could describe him they would be loving, loyal, honorable, respectful, and caring. He was a gentleman. Rubin was born in Jacksonville, Florida to Meyer and Ray Mizrahi Dayan, and served in the army in WWII from 1941-1945 when he was honorably discharged. His life's work was in the children's clothing business, a family run business that he came to own and operate. "The Carousel Childrens Shop" was on Lincoln Road, in Miami Beach. Rubin's life long family connections and friends were most important to him throughout his life. He is survived by his nephew, David Wasser/Jamie and grand nephews Taylor, Travis and Trent; Barbara Ingram/Mike and grand nephew - Andy; and Richard Dayan and grand niece, Melanie and grand nephew Michael. Our family thanks his exceptional caregivers:Katherine and Ann Marie for their devotion and loving care. Services will be held on Monday, Dec.16th at 10:30 am at Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapels at Mount Nebo (Kendall), 5900 SW 77th Ave., Miami, Fl. 33143. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: Homes For Our Troops, Dave and Mary Alper Jewish Community Center, or Clothes to Kids.
