ROSENBLOOM, DR. FREDERICK M., The Mount Sinai Medical Center Family pays tribute to Dr. Frederick "Fred" M. Rosenbloom, a beloved member of our medical staff and a longstanding supporter of our hospital. Dr. Rosenbloom, who specialized in internal medicine, joined our family of physicians in 1969. He remained with our medical center until his retirement in February of 2012, when he earned recognition as an emeritus physician. A former member of our Medical Executive Committee, Dr. Rosenbloom served as president of our medical staff from 2007 until 2009. He was appointed to the Mount Sinai Medical Center Board of Trustees in 1993 and served on the board's Bylaws, Joint Advisory and Professional Affairs committees. Dr. Rosenbloom also was an active member of the Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation and served as vice president of its Board of Directors. He was a member of the Founders of Mount Sinai, our Foundation's most time-honored philanthropic group; and he is a charter member and past chairman of the Young Presidents Club. Dr. Rosenbloom's wife, Maxine "Mickey" Rosenbloom, also is a member of the Young Presidents Club and Life Trustee of The Cancer Lifeline of Mount Sinai. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Dr. Rosenbloom's family and his friends. He was a dedicated physician who earned the respect and admiration of his patients and his colleagues, and he will always have a special place in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
