Martha ("Marty") DePass Frey, a Child of God, born March 26, 1927 was called to her Heavenly Home January 7, 2013. Marty was born in Tientsin, China to Col. Morris B. and Helen Stone DePass. She was an "army brat" who spent her early years in China and later settled in Miami Beach, Florida. She graduated from St. Patrick's High School in Miami Beach, Florida and Sullins College in Bristol, Virginia. Marty married the love of her life, Oscar William ("Bill") Frey, Jr., April 27, 1948 in Miami Beach, Florida. They lived in Miami until they moved to Jupiter, Florida in 1992. Marty accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1958. She was a member of University Baptist Church in Coral Gables, FL, South Miami Baptist Church, and Grace Fellowship Church in Jupiter, FL and she loved singing in the choir. She was a wonderful homemaker, devoted wife, and loving mother. Marty is survived by Bill, her beloved husband of nearly 65 years, and their four daughters: Dianne Louise Oakwood (husband Robert) of Cape Coral, FL; Christine Barton (husband Jack) of Tequesta, FL; Eugenia San Pollard (husband Gary) of Newport Coast, CA; and Patricia Kay Galea (husband Charles) of Pinecrest, FL; four grandchildren: Ashley Oakwood Gibas (husband Josh) of Cape Coral, FL; Whitney Oakwood Seay (husband Carlton) of Naples, FL; Molly Pollard Harris (husband Patrick) of Waikoloa, HI; Katherine Galea Gutierrez (husband Ruben) of Miami, FL; and Jeffrey DePass Galea of Pinecrest, FL; and two great-grandchildren: Ethan Michael Gibas and Ava Madison Harris; and her sister Eugenia Yang DePass McCrea of Coral Gables, FL. A memorial service in celebration of Marty's life is planned for 2 p.m. on February 9, 2013 in the Chapel at Wayside Baptist Church, 7701 SW 98 Street, Miami, Florida 33156.
