Richard Allan Fisher, was born on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1955 in Chateauroux, France to Thomas and Nancye Fisher. The family came back to the United States when Richard was six months old, and after his sisters Sandra and Cynthia were born, the Fisher family finally settled in Miami in 1960. Rick, like his three children after him, attended Howard Drive Elementary, Palmetto Middle and Palmetto Senior High School. In high school he was the starting fullback of the Palmetto Panther's football team. Football was his love, his passion, it was where he found his glory. He caught the eye of many colleges and universities, received numerous scholarship offers, including University of Miami, Florida State University, and University of Florida, before deciding on Georgia Tech. However, after a life changing freak accident resulting in a massive leg injury, his football dreams sadly became just memories, and he always wondered what could have been. Football was where his thoughts would always return. Palmetto High also brought him his wife, Theresa Kulikowski. After dating for four and a half years, Rick and Teri were married on July 30, 1977, and six years later started a family when Kristen Nicole was born on February 15, 1983. Rick always referred to Kristen as his birthday present, as she was due on his birthday. A little over a year later, Kara Michelle was born on May 20, 1984, and many years later Rick got his son, Tyler Jonathan, on January 15, 1997. Rick graduated with a degree in Building & Construction from University of Florida, where he used his skills in architecture to build and design three of his and Teri's homes. All withstood Hurricane Andrew. He chose to go into his family's business where he dutifully served his parents company, South End Plumbing, Inc. in Miami from 1978 to current day. Rick was preceded in death by his mother, Nancye Fisher, who passed sadly on his birthday, February 14, 2010. He was never the same once she left. He leaves behind his father, Thomas Fisher, his eternally devoted wife, Teri Fisher, and their three children, Kristen Fisher-Friedman (30) and her husband Joshua Friedman, Kara Fisher (28) and Tyler Fisher (16). His two sisters Sandy Moore, Cindy Fox her husband Sheldon Fox and their children Shana, Jordan, and Lainey, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, brother and sister in laws, cousins, nieces and nephews, and so many friends, work associates, neighbors, and lifelong friends, most notably, Reed Wertz and Clark Galen. Services will be held Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 5:45pm at the Old Cutler Presbyterian Church. 14401 Old Cutler Road, Palmetto Bay, Fl. 33158 In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to please be made to the Richard Fisher Family Trust Gautier & Hasty 370 Minorca Ave Ste 21 Coral Gables, Fl. 33134 Attn: Marian Hasty
