JAFFE, DAVID J., M.D., passed away on February 26, 2014. David graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1970. He remained there as an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Nephrology for over 15 years. He was an excellent teacher and role model for the students, residents and fellows. He then practiced primary care medicine in the community. He partially retired but continued to be involved in his profession as a consultant, which he did up until the time of his illness. David enjoyed traveling, photography, his family, and just living life. He is survived by his loving wife Leah, treasured son Daniel (who he was thrilled about his becoming a UM Hurricane), brother Robert (Sandra), sister Judith Benson (Barry), and nieces, nephews and cousins.
