SKELLY, RICHARD D., age 82 of Miami Shores, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at North Shore Hospital. Richard was born on July 21, 1931 in Banes, Cuba. He was the son of Irish American Parents, George Martin and Marguerite Elizabeth Skelly. He was a decorated Korean War veteran who saw active duty. Upon his return from Korea he married his long time sweetheart, Angelina Ruiz. It was at this time that Richard earned his B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida. He went on to become a very successful Business Executive, while only employed by three firms in his career i.e. Honeywell, IBM and Deloitte & Touche, where he retired as the Managing Director for Management Advisory Services with responsibilities including South America and Mexico. Richard's wonderful sense of humor and zest for laughter will live in our hearts Forever! Richard is survived by his daughter, Mary Ellen and sons, Richard Jr. and William. In addition he is survived by three loving grandsons, Logan, Dylan and Quinn, his sister Marjorie and brother Jackie. Richard sadly was predeceased by his wife Angelina, his daughters Maggie and Colleen, as well as his brother George. Funeral Mass, Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 11:00am., at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church with Interment to follow at Dade Memorial Park.
