Ellen Crawford Obituary

Ellen Louise Crawford peacefully entered the kingdom of heaven on Dec. 7, 2012. Her sister Inova Hudson was at her side.
Louise, as she was known to family and friends, was born on Oct. 12, 1939, in Wichita, Kan. She grew up in the Los Angeles, Calif., area, where she met and married William "Reed" Crawford in 1958. They moved to Klamath Falls in 1972.
Louise and her husband Reed loved Oregon and enjoyed camping with family and friends. They square danced for many years with the K.C. Squares and the Happy Huggers and always said those were some of their happiest times. But the main focus of Louise's life was her love for Jesus. She loved attending church and Bible study. She had a musical talent and played the piano and organ in service to the Lord for many years.
She was a former diabetes educator with the American Diabetes Association and informed others about the disease that finally claimed her life.
Louise is survived by her children Jon and Tami Crawford of Klamath Falls, Valerie and Todd Montgomery of Bonnie Lake, Wash., and Aaron Crawford of Seoul, Korea; grandchildren Zach, Derrick and Dawson Crawford and Amanda and Darrell Smith; great-grandchildren Conner, Isaiah, Kahlan and Skyla; sister and brother-in-law Inova and James Hudson; brother and sister-in-law Victor "Butch" and Tillie Astle; sister and brother-in-law Paula and Avery Walborn; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Reed, infant daughter Crystal and her parents Victor and Pauline Astle.
Louise will be privately interred at Mt. Laki Cemetery with a memorial service to be announced in January when her son Aaron arrives from Korea.
She will be greatly missed, but as her daughter Valerie sweetly said, "Mom and Dad are together again."
