Deborah Llano Amos(1949 - 2014)

Deborah Llano Amos died March 23, 2014, in Dayton, Ore., with her loving family by her side. Deborah was born in Myrtle Point, Ore., Dec. 28, 1949, to Stanley and Priscilla Colebank. She attended Myrtle Point High School and continued her education at Western Oregon University earning a B.S. degree in Education. Deborah married her lifelong partner, Marvin Amos Oct. 28, 1967 and together they had four children. Deborah and Marvin began teaching at Chiloquin Elementary School in 1987. She was passionate about making a difference in the lives of her students and taught in Chiloquin until her retirement in 2008. After retirement she moved to Denham Springs, Louisiana where she worked a short time as a substitute teacher, although the majority of her retirement was spent traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Deborah is survived by her husband, Marvin L. Amos of Dayton, Ore.; children and their spouses, Corey and Tonya Amos of Albany, Oer., Karri and John Jefferys of Dayton, Ore., Mychal and Angie Amos of Klamath Falls, Ore., Brandy and Steven Dearman of Denham Springs, La.; and her sister, Diane Schmidt of Coos Bay, Ore. She also leaves behind 19 grandchildren, Josh, Brandon, Shawnee, Storm, and Hunter Amos of Albany, Ore., Jordan, MacKenzie, Zachary, Kennady Henderson, Alex, and Gabe Jefferys of Dayton, Ore., Tayson, Bailyn, Elly, and Payton Amos of Klamath Falls, Ore., NaShowda Shadley, Ashton Dearman, Brayden and Tanner Dewitt of Denham Spring, La.
