Dewane Lee Wonser, 76, went home to be with his Lord on Nov. 10, 2012, with family at his side.
He was born July 20, 1936, to Re Elsworth Wonser and the former Norma Norabell Wolcott. He grew up in Klamath Falls and graduated from Klamath Union High School, then attended college for a time.
Dewane loved being a truck driver for various businesses in the Klamath Falls area. He also loved being with loved ones, building custom cars and motorcycles, going to his favorite restaurants for coffee, and pulling pranks on his family and friends.
He leaves behind his daughters, Brenda Furniss of Redding, Calif., Sherri Zamira of Cape Cod, Mass., and Monica Pitt and Sandra Lawlor, both of Klamath Falls; brothers Vern, Mark, and Lawrance Wonser; sister Geraldine McLelland; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son Bradley Wonser and his parents Re and Norma Wonser.
A celebration of life service will be 11 a.m. Jan. 12, 2013 in the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church, 707 High St., with Gary Powless officiating. A potluck meal will follow there and everyone is asked to bring a "dish" to help make the day very special. Davenport's Chapel of the Good Shepherd, directors, now at 2680 Memorial Drive, Klamath Falls, Ore., (541-883-3458) is in charge of the arrangements.
