Erma Lee "Tory" Hill(1927-2013)

Erma "Tory" Lee Hill, 69, passed away Jan. 4, 2013, in Klamath Falls.
She was born May 12, 1927, in Reydon, Okla., to Wilbur Clinton and May Sharpnick Bush.
They had seven daughters: Doris, Hatta, Helen, Fern, Erma Lee, Pearl and Ruby.
Erma Lee loved life! Erma and Earl (preceded her in death) fell in love and got married in Reno, Nev. This is where Erma Lee got her nickname from Earl. He called her "Tory" and she called Earl "Rollie Pollie." The couple had their first child, David, born in Reno, (who preceded her in death). Their second son, Daniel "Danny," was born in Yreka, Calif., and their third child, Damon, in Klamath Falls.
Tory loved to bowl in her early days, and crochet blankets for her family.
"Granny" cherished her grandkids. A lot of the grandkids grew up at her house. The great-grandkids were very special to Tory, too. One of Tory's great adventures was going back to Reydon to visit her hometown that she grew up in.
Tory loved the cruise ship with lots of food and buying unique stuff on the beach during her trip to Mexico. She also loved plants, gardening, and hundreds of knickknacks and old bottles. Traveling to the coast or to Red Bluff, Calif., was something Tory would wait all year for.
Beside her children, Tory's most rewarding accomplishment was accepting Jesus and being baptized a Christian. Most evenings, Tory would talk to God. She always spread sunshine wherever she went. Everyone loved her.
She is survived by sons Daniel and Dinah and Damon and Linda; grandchildren Treeva and Doug McCabe, Eldon Hill, Danne and Andrew Slezak, Hollie Hill, Jenn and Mike Mostek, Dave and Dawnlee Hill, and Dustin and Stephanie Hill; great-grandchildren Karley and Cody, Rebecaa, Chase, Addison, Cherish, Braydon, Aiden, Tyler, Cory, and Kaleb.
A celebration of life service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Ernie Mathes officiating. Entombment will follow in South Faith Terrace. Davenport's Chapel of the Good Shepherd, directors, now at 2680 Memorial Drive, Klamath Falls, OR (541- 883-3458) is in charge of the arrangements.
