Merilyn Ruth Henry, who was born Sept. 28, 1930, in Oklahoma City, Okla., passed away Feb. 26, 2013, in Klamath Falls.
She was the bride of Don Henry for 63 years. Most of their time was spent raising a family in the San Francisco bay area. She worked in Capwell's Department Store for many years.
They got the bug and moved to Alaska, which she loved with a passion. They moved through several logging camps for 11 years with Merilyn being a bull cook. They moved to Klamath Falls and were snowbirds to Needles, Calif.
Merilyn always had a beautiful garden no matter where she lived. She was an avid baseball and auto racing fan. She was that trophy girl on Saturday night.
Survivors include her husband Don Henry; daughters Bobbie (Doug) Robertson of Pittsburg, Calif., and Ann Carroll; grandchildren Steven (Geneva) Lewis, Lisa (Randy) LaComb, Joey Carroll, and Dawn (Michael) Thurston.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Nyda Jackson, her granddaughter Stephanie (Carroll) Garrigues, and her beloved white boxer Spook.
