Robert M. Singletary, a resident of Dorris, Calif., died in Klamath Falls Feb. 14, 2014, at 71.
A visitation will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 22, in O'Hair Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. at Picard Cemetery in Dorris.
Bob was born in Portola, Calif., Oct. 19, 1942, to Howard and Elsie Singletary, Sr.
After moving to Dorris, he worked for Modoc Lumber Co. for many years.
He enjoyed fishing and trains and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his beloved dog, Molly.
Bob was a very funny, caring, happy person. Nothing made him happier than making others happy. He fought his battle with his illness always in good spirits until the end. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will truly be missed.
Bob is survived by his wife, Fay Singletary of Dorris; children, Kay Singletary of Klamath Falls and Roger Singletary of Taylorsville, Calif.; grandchildren, TJ Singletary, Lupe "Bandito" Duran and spouse, Kurstin Hamilton, Ashley Cruz, and Robert Singletary, all of Klamath Falls, Justin Singletary of Bend, Crystal Singletary of Weed, Calif., and Kaylee May Singletary of Taylorsville; great-grandchildren, Taiton Robinson and Karsyn Duran; sister, Jeanie Duddley of Roswell, N.M.; and numerous neices and nephews in New Mexico and California.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Howard Singletary, Jr., Jack Singletary, Kenneth Singletary, Gwen Avena and Luela Mae Lynch.
