William Hood
William Thomas Hood, 86, died in Klamath Falls, Dec. 2, 2013. A private interment was held at Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens.
Bill was born March 26, 1927, in Powel, Wyoming, to Chris and Edna Card Hood. The family moved to Beatty, Ore., before settling on the Gerber Ranch. In 1946 he entered the U.S. Army where he served as a paratrooper and was honorably discharged in 1947 as a sergeant. On June 28, 1952 he married Carol Crandell in Mitchell, Ore. They lived in Klamath Falls, where Bill worked for the Klamath County Road Dept. until his retirement in 1992.
Bill was a member of the Baptist Church on Homedale, where he served in many positions, including board member. He enjoyed yard work and being with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; daughter, Leigh Ann Inman of Graniteville, S.C.; son, David Hood of Kenton, Ohio; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and three on the way.
