Arlin Elliott
A servant of God and a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and son, Arlin James "Jim" Elliott went to be with God on Nov. 12, 2013, with his family present.
He was born June 6, 1934, in Marysville, Calif., and resided in Klamath Falls, Ore., for the past 23 years.
Jim was an ordained minister for United Pentecostal Church since 1979.
In his earlier years, he worked for Baldwin Construction and many other construction companies. In the 1970s, he moved his family to Exeter, Calif., to pastor the United Pentecostal Church and continued working construction. He also started up Elliott Auto Sales.
His family considered him a "Jack of All Trades."
Jim loved to preach the Word of God, go fishing, play his guitar, and go to auctions, but most importantly, loved his family.
He is survived by Lenora (Applegarth) Elliott of Klamath Falls, his wife of 58 years; sons, Ronald Elliott and wife, Sandra, of Savannah, Ga.; and Steven Elliott and wife, Ticha Elliott, of Klamath Falls; daughters, Donna Ownby and husband, Doug of Butte Falls, Ore.; and Katherine Rogers and husband, Larry of Farmersville, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Leroy Elliott, mother, Anna Maude (Greenwood) Elliott and his father, Walter James Elliott.
A memorial service will be held in Klamath Falls on a date to the announced.
