Carol Ann Bertholf, 75, of Bonanza, Ore., passed away at home Jan. 14, 2014, with her family at her side. In accordance with Carol's wishes, there will be no formal ceremony. Carol was born Feb. 19, 1938, to John and Berta King in Arizona. She is survived by her brother, Chuck King of Bonanza; son, Ricky and daughter-in-law, Sherry Purcell of LaPine, Ore.; five grandchildren, Ricky Purcell, Jr., Chelsey Purcell, Hollie Purcell, Robby Purcell, Jr., Lisa Mun; and one great-grandchild, Dominic. She also is survived by niece, Jeannette Parkhurst and her three daughters, Amaris, Dorothy and Kyra. She was preceded in death by her son, Robby Purcell, Sr. She worked in Contra Costa County, Calif., for more than 20 years and moved to Bonanza in 1994 with her mother and brother. Her hobbies included crafts, camping and gardening. She loved knitting and crocheting things for friends and family. A private family memorial service will take place at a future date. Carol was loved by everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed by all. Donations in her memory may be made to Klamath Humane Society Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 482, Klamath Falls, OR.
