Christina Story, 91, died in Klamath Falls April 25, 2014. Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, in O'Hair Funeral Chapel. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 1, in Merrill Presbyterian Church. Private interment will be at Merrill I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Christina was born May 18, 1922, to Goldie and Ray Preston Mole in Ada, Okla. She graduated from the Horace Mann School May 29, 1940. She then married Clovis Story June 30, 1940. The couple moved to Oregon in 1946. Christina drove the school bus and was a cook at Merrill Elementary School for 21 years before retiring in 1984. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Merrill since 1946. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Barney Hoyt of Malin, Ore.; sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Deanna Story of Chandler, Ariz., and Jerry and Judy Story of Klamath Falls, Ore.; grandchildren and their spouses, Rhonda and Bill Heiney of Tulelake, Calif., Dana Hoyt of Medford, Ore., Mike and Sandy Story of Chandler, Christy and Doug Knolles of Chandler, Jeff and Danielle Story of Malin, and Jim and Whitney Story of Klamath Falls; great-grandchildren, Brooke Smith and her husband, Andrew, Jared Heiney, Ryan Story, Megan Story, Austin Knolles, Carly Knolles, Shelby Knolles, Jaselyn Story, Hailee Story, and Carter Story; great-great-grandchild, Audrey Smith; brother and sister-in-law Kenneth and Lois Mole; and sister, Imogene Grimes. She was preceded in death by her parents, Preston and Goldie Mole; husband, Clovis Story; sister, Joy Ogletree; brother, Gaylord Mole, and grandson, Chuck Day.
