Danny "Dan" Patrick McGinnis, 68, passed away Saturday Aug. 17, 2013, in Plum Ridge with family by his side.
Dan was born Feb. 13, 1945, in Klamath Falls, Ore., to Elmer and Dottie (Patzke).
He attended Klamath Union High School and graduated in 1963. In 1964, he joined the Navy and served in the Vietnam War. He was discharged in 1968 at the rank of E-3. He became a log truck driver until his retirement.
Dan's hobbies included his mechanic abilities and working on hot rods. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church.
Dan is survived by his son, Lee and wife, Ruby of Klamath Falls; daughter, Yvonne Nork and husband, Andy Zikmund of Baker City, Ore.; sisters, Judy and husband, Sterling Sloan of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; and Debbie Clements of Klamath Falls; brother, Steven of Klamath Falls; grandchildren Jynifer Cook, Kaylee McGinnis, Elizabeth McGinnis, and Joseph Zikmund, and numerous family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Elmer and Dottie, and brother-in-law, Marvin Clements.
There will be a potluck memorial at 1 p.m Aug. 24, 2013 in Bible Baptist Church, 4849 S. Sixth St., Klamath Falls, 541-883-2289.
