July 29, 2013 March 29, 2014 "I'll lend to you for a little time, a child of mine," God said, "For you to love while he lives, and mourn for when he's dead. It may be six or seven years or fifty-two or three, but will you, till I call him back, take care of him for me?" Baby Ethan left the loving arms of his parents Jason Martinelli and Whitney Derrah, and the joyful, playful sounds of his brothers, Trevor and Parker, Saturday, March 29. He is blessed because in his short life here with them, he has only known love, comfort, security and happiness. Our precious boy also is survived by his grandparents, Greg and Becky Martinelli, Harold and June Derrah, Merilee and Dan Tofell; great-grandparents, Elmo and Nancy Martinelli, Fred and Frances Liddell; great-grandmother, Fern Derrah; his Auntie, Carissa (Gregg) Backus, and his Auntie, Erin Martinelli. Baby Ethan is now in the loving arms of his Uncle Trevor, who preceded him in death. He also is survived by numerous cousins, great-aunts and uncles and other loving family and friends. "We'll shelter him with tenderness, we'll love him while we may, and for the happiness we've known, forever grateful stay. And should the angels call for him much sooner than we've planned, we'll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand." A celebration of life was April 6 in Reno.
