Babe was born Oct. 21, 1954, the youngest child of Harold C. and Euphemia A. (Bigby) Lipe in Klamath Falls, Ore., where he was raised and remained his entire life.
Babe graduated from Klamath Union High School in 1972. He later married Kitty Johnson and they were blessed with two beautiful children, Andrea and Josh Lipe. He worked for numerous businesses in Klamath Falls, mostly doing millwork. For the last part of his life, he worked at Production Metal, which he enjoyed very much. In 2003, he married his friend and soul mate Marion (Margie) Yockey. Together they made a home in Keno. Babe and Margie worked and lived side by side and were inseparable.
He was an avid pool player (he won numerous tournaments), hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed playing cribbage with his dad every Saturday and playing with his best friend Fred Carlile as well. He also enjoyed mushroom hunting and spending any free time he had with his children and his family. He will be missed greatly.
