James Henry, born Oct. 15. 1918, passed away March 9, 2014. James was born in Tecumseh, Okla., to Charles and Mary Henry. He spent most of his childhood traveling around while his parents worked the oil fields. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1942 and served our country with distinction during World War II in the Pacific Theater. After serving his country, James met the love of his life, Geraldine, and the two married in 1946 in Bakersfield, Calif. James and Geraldine moved in the late 1950s to the Tulelake area, where they settled down and James spent most of his time as a farmer and rancher. James enjoyed watching westerns and the news. He loved the outdoors, whether it was fishing or hunting or being with his beloved dog, Kaya. He was an honest and caring man and a good man. James leaves behind his sister, Ellis; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Linda Henry and Jay and Evelyn Henry; grandsons, Jeremy, Mike, Derrick, Chris, Bob and Rick Henry; granddaughters, Hailey and Sunny; and six great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine; sister, Roxy; brothers, Robert, Elbert, Dee, Howard and Webb; and grandson, Jake Henry. Services will be at 2 p.m. in Eternal Hills Chapel Saturday, March 15, followed by a reception and graveside service. There will be a visitation in Eternal Hills Funeral Home froim 1 to 5 p.m., Friday, March 14.
